I just had a very social holiday season where I had some fun conversations over cookies and eggnog. Now that I am happily back on my couch most nights this January, it’s fun to reflect on the festive gatherings. I prefer in-depth conversations to small talk at parties, but I use these key communication skills to feel better at large parties, and these skills may help you too!

As a Voice Coach of 20 years, I love observing how people communicate and interact at social gatherings, and I have found that certain social cues help us feel more comfortable and engaging.
