Have you ever thought that “THIS new year” things will be less hectic, but then somehow your life grows even busier and more complex?

Do you stretch yourself to take on more, rather than set up healthy boundaries so you can take on less?

I totally get it. I juggle a lot of plates as a mother, a business owner, a coach, a wife, daughter, friend, podcaster, performer, and writer. I used to over-extend myself until I suffered mental exhaustion and a vocal injury.

Now on the cusp of 50, I no longer deny my limitations (they are also more evident, hello sciatica)

I have learned to embrace my limitations. In fact my limitations guide me to a more well-balanced, less hectic life.

Here are 5 areas where I have welcomed in my limits. I hope that my boundaries may inspire you to embrace your limits as well:

1. Health- I take my body seriously when it has something to say:

  • I can’t drink hardly any alcohol …
