We’ve made it to Friday.

Please continue to take care of yourself and check in on eachother.

What a disappointing election outcome. I’ve found solace in heartfelt conversations with friends and walks with my dog. This photo is from my cemetery stroll on November 6th—it felt like a fitting place to reflect on the election results.

I want to remind us to value our voices and convictions, even if this election outcome feels like a rejection.

In my vocal analysis of the September Harris-Trump Debate, I noted that Kamala’s communication style was assertive and clear, while Trump’s was aggressive and chaotic.

Trump’s communication has grown more volatile at rallies, using fear-mongering tactics and blaming our most vulnerable communities for a variety of problems.

Linguist John McWhorter describes Trump’s speech style, “weaving,  as more like self-absorbed rambling.

There is a global trend of “strongman” leaders, and we need to protect our freedom of speech, especially for marginalized communiti…
