✨ Speak Calmly in 10 Minutes Routine
Your Confidence Jumpstart
Hi friends,
As we head toward the new year, and all the meetings, presentations, gatherings, and moments where your voice will matter, I wanted to give you something simple and grounding you can do in a pinch.
Something that doesn’t require an hour of prep because we don’t have time for that right now!
Just 10 minutes to feel calmer, clearer, and more confident before you speak.
Today, I’m sharing my Speak Calmly in 10 Minutes Routine in full, written form.
This routine is what I use and what I guide my private clients through before high-pressure speaking moments, and it helps reduce anxiety and calm your voice.
I hope it supports you as you move into 2026 with clarity and ease.
The Speak Calmly in 10 Minutes Routine
1) 60-Second Grounding (1 minute)
Place your feet flat on the floor.
Inhale through your nose for four counts, exhale for 6.
Release your jaw. Drop your shoulders.
Repeat 3 times.
Feel your breath slow everything down.
2) Release Tension from Your Voice (2 minutes)
Hum gently on a comfortable note — feel vibration in your lips and cheekbones.
Then sigh on a long “haaaaa…”
Humming softens the throat, frees your resonance, and stimulates your vagus nerve.
3) Expand Your Breath Capacity (2 minutes)
Inhale for 4.
Hold for 2.
Exhale for 6.
Repeat five cycles.
Breath Expansion resets your nervous system and supports your voice.
4) Clear Your Voice (2 minutes)
Speak these aloud, slowly and intentionally:
“My voice is steady.”
“My breath supports me.”
“I am clear and grounded.”
“I speak with intention.”
Notice how your tone shifts each time.
5) Anchor Your Message (2 minutes)
Answer out loud these three questions:
1. What do I want my listener/s to understand?
2. How do I want them to feel?
When you know your speaking intention, you feel more focused and connected.
6) The 30-Second Presence Posture (30 seconds)
Lengthen your spine.
Open your chest.
Inhale deeply.
Let your body support your voice.
You’re ready!
You are grounded, clear, present, and your voice deserves to be heard.
🌟 Coming Soon: The Love Your Voice 2026 Small Group Training
In late January, I’ll be opening an online, private, supportive group program for women who want to strengthen their presence, communicate with greater ease, and feel genuinely confident when they speak.
I’m keeping this group intentionally intimate (8–10 women).
If you’d like early info, with no commitment, you can add your name here:
