I keep checking my phone and texting friends for political updates, and I have forgotten to turn on my car emergency break twice in the past 24 hours!
Fortunately, my Prius and I are still here, and it reminds me to practice good self-care during this time of uncertainty.
This same feeling happens before public speaking. My clients often feel excitement and dread when preparing for a talk. Since our bodies do not recognize the difference between these two emotions, we help ourselves by defining the feelings.
