I wanted to share my recent conversation on my podcast Girlfriends of a Certain Age where we discussed our concerns about Harry & Meghan's return to the UK.
We worry about how the young family will navigate their return to the Royal Family, or “The Firm,” as my co-host calls it. Will it be a warm or icy welcome?
More importantly, how we interpret this very public family tension speaks volumes about our own family relationships. To be clear, this is not a gossip session, but two middle-aged aunties concerned about a young family’s well-being.
We also pay tribute to the recent passing of Dolly Parton, the amazing singer-songwriter, philanthropist, and American icon whom it seems everyone loved, including me!
Dolly is probably the closest thing we have in the U.S. to royalty, but without all the pomp and circumstance, though plenty of rhinestones. We will always love you, Dolly.
